Estee Lauder

The only regret of the old should be that they didn't champion their younger selves as they ought. Age is a funny thing in that it cannot in any way adopt the safety of mirrors to hide from, or seek perfection in a self defense against the vulnerability of authenticity. Age cannot be impervious to truth, soul, wrinkles, grey, hanging skin, sun spots or gravity. Still, what a tragedy that it should be embraced as a loss of any kind; for youth is merely the ignorance of relativity and the naive flirtation with time in a backdrop of fickle fascination and transient worthiness. Give me a woman of sixty and seventy every time, and I will show you the miracles of profound beauty, intelligence, wisdom, and grace. Give me the candor of a soul who cannot adorn themselves in enough Fifth Avenue to pretend consequence, and I'll show you the power and presence of a woman who has come into her own. Oh, that we would know this earlier. Treasure now, but be at ease with and look forward to the morrow.

Young girls are untried and lack confidence. Give me age every single day; let the days gather, and the experiences wander as collective memories linger. I would not trade now for yesterday - and I can't wait for tomorrow with an impatience that is impossible to measure. Illusions of importance are for the inexperienced and uncertain. Oh, the beauty of a woman is found in her eyes, her lips, her laughter, her wisdom, and her soul speaking thoughts and sighs in resonance.
