Association

I was raised to believe that we should always honor what we have no matter what. I was raised to believe that if we have but a dirt floor, we should sweep it, care for it, tidy it, and be proud of it. I was raised to believe that gratitude leads to more; that a dirt floor can lead to a wood floor, and a wood floor to dense, lush carpeting. I was raised to believe that it is in what we do with what we have that will ultimately bring sustenance of the forever kind. And I believe that without a foundation, a cabin can never be a home in truth, let alone a residence of any import. Do we teach our children the same?
